This consultation is seeking feedback on the potential application of the Energy Industry Jobs Plan (EIJP) in the context of the scheduled closures of Collie Power Station and Muja Power Station.
The Net Zero Economy Authority (the Authority) is seeking your feedback to understand how workers and businesses are likely to be impacted by the closures, what support workers can already access, and whether an EIJP will help smooth the transition for those workers.
Information collected through this consultation process will be used to assist the Authority to assess whether to make an application to the Fair Work Commission (FWC) for an Energy Industry Jobs Plan relating to the closure of Collie Power Station (October 2027) and a separate application to the FWC relating to the closure of Muja Power Station (October 2029).
We want to hear from anyone who has views on the closure and the support required by impacted workers.
